For this tech tip I followed the  instructions  and went onto twitter and followed someone new. I found the account @tinycarebot from @jonnysun's twitter and followed it. The account tweets about health tips throughout the day to remind you if you are on twitter to take care of yourself. I think that the account is such a cool way to have a constant positive on your twitter feed. (personal screen shot of  tinycarebot  and sample of tweets)

I used  simitator  to create this dream tweet for President Boren. It is a good reminder that the internet is all lies and I should be the next OU President. Also, does cancelling/canceling have 1 L or 2? No one truly knows. (personal image created using simitator)

So close to the end of the semester now so I made a reminder on  Cheezburger Cats

I used  ImgFlip.com  to make a meme this week. It represents how I always have the irresistible urge to take a nap even though I have assignments due at midnight and should just work on those so I can go to bed at a normal time.

The Word Counter tech tip is invaluable for this class. I recommend it to everyone because so many assignments have a word minimum. I usually go under the word count when I write without it because I am a pretty concise writer. One disadvantage is that if you are writing with it and you reach the word count, you feel the need to stop, where without you might continue on. Definitely go  here and try it though! For this week's extra credit, I wanted to make a post about how bookmarks have helped me stay organized for this class. The class can be a lot of links to keep up with, and in the beginning I had a hard time because of the disconnect between using canvas for everything in all my other classes and having a separate website for this one. So something I have done is create a folder on my bookmark bar and saved some important links onto it.  To do this Tech Tip, you need to be on Google Chrome.  The first thing I found helpful was to make a folder for all my links so they are all in one place. To do this, went to the bar at the top of my screen and went into my Bookmark Manager:  When in my Bookmark Manager, I clicked on the three dots in the corner of the screen: This opened a drop down menu where I clicked "Add New Folder": After I created a new folder, I could go to the individual links I wanted to have, or that I come across while doing assignments a...

I previously had the Canvas App, but had deleted it after not using it much. I re-downloaded it for this Tech Tip, and I think it will be more useful this semester since I am in more classes. Overall it is a pretty user friendly app. One thing I did find super helpful was renaming my classes because before they were all their course numbers (i.e. COMM 0000) which got confusing since there were so many with the communication prefix. This is an easy thing to do that can really help managing classes and is a fast way to check class announcements or new grade inputs. Photo information: Personal Photo
